The Padel Price Index: what an hour of padel costs in 13 cities

The Lab lists 224 clubs in 20 cities, each with the price it publishes. Put one court for one hour side by side and the same game costs €15 in Madrid and €119 in New York. London is twice Amsterdam, and Manchester costs 30 percent less than London.

One court, one hour, the price a non-member pays, from the club lists on our city pages as they stood on 25 September 2026. The typical price is the median club; the range runs from the cheapest off-peak hour on the list to the dearest peak one. Euros at rounded rates, explained under the table.

Cheapest and dearest

Madrid is the cheapest city on the list by a distance: €15 for the typical court hour, €3.75 a player. Barcelona and Lisbon follow at €24. New York is the dearest at €119, then London at €70 and Miami at €64. The same hour of the same game costs eight times as much in New York as in Madrid.

The single cheapest price is a municipal court at Ciudad de la Raqueta in Madrid, €6.70 outdoors at its cheapest, before the evening lighting charge. Cheaper still, and not in the table because nobody takes a booking: the court at Vinterviken in Stockholm is free. The dearest pay and play hour is $240 at Reserve Padel Seaplane in Miami, $60 a player at the top of its range. New York has dearer courts, $300 an hour at Reserve Padel on the Upper East Side, but they are for members only and not in the median.

London against Manchester

The typical London hour is £60; in Manchester it is £42, 30 percent less for the same court. The spread inside each city is wider than the gap between them: London runs from £35 at the park courts in Hyde Park and Regent's Park to £100 for the centre court at Padium Canary Wharf, and Manchester's dearest hour, £84 at the top of The Pollen Club's range, costs more than the London median.

In euros, London costs 2.9 times Barcelona and 4.6 times Madrid. Manchester costs twice Barcelona.

Where padel grew up, the player pays

In Madrid, Barcelona and Lisbon a player's share of an hour is €6 or less, and the price list often says so: seven of the nine priced clubs in Lisbon quote by the player, not the court. In London nine of the eleven priced clubs quote the court, and in Manchester six of the seven; four people split it at the end.

The Gulf and America

Dubai's typical hour is 267 dirhams, about €62, and six of its eleven priced clubs quote a 90-minute price. Miami has the widest spread on any list: Real Padel at its cheapest works out at $25.50 an hour, Reserve Padel Seaplane at its dearest at $240. New York is the hardest city to price. Only four of its ten listed clubs publish a price anyone can book, and three sell courts to members only.

How we counted

One court for one hour at the price a non-member pays. Per-player prices are multiplied by four, 90-minute prices divided by one and a half, two-hour prices by two. A range stays a range, off peak to peak, and a premium court counts at the top of its club's range; a "from" price counts at both ends. The typical price is the median of each club's midpoint, so one very cheap or very dear club does not move it.

Left out: members-only courts, membership fees, open play sessions, and any price with no length attached ("per session", "per slot", "per court"). A city needs three priced clubs to be in the table, which leaves out seven of the twenty. Brussels, Cairo and Mexico City clubs publish no prices online that we could find; Riyadh, Rome, Buenos Aires and Sydney gave one usable price each. 89 of the 224 listed clubs are in the table.

Wrong, or missing?
